Corn Salad Recipe



Ingredients

  • Corn kernels(fresh or frozen or canned) : 1 cup
  • Cucumber: 1 medium size
  • Onion: 1 medium size
  • Green chillies : 1 or 2 (according to taste)
  • Fresh coriander leaves: a few
  • Lemon juice: 1 tsp
  • Chat masala: 1 tsp
  • Salt(preferably black salt): to taste

In a “desi” way make salad with corn and fresh veggies.

Monsoon is now here in India and fresh corn is widely available in the market. So last weekend I planned to prepare corn salad for evening snacks. It is so simple and easy,you can involve your little ones to make this.

  • Serves: 2-3 persons
  • Preparation time: 5 minutes
  • Cooking time: 5 minutes

Procedure : Corn Salad Recipe

  1. Wash corn kernels and pressure cook it with a cup of water and a pinch of salt in low flame. 2 whistles is enough to cook it. Let it cool. Drain the water ans set aside.
  2. Meanwhile peeled and finely chopped cucumber. Cut onion finely. Chopped green chillies.
  3. Take boiled corn in a large bowl and mix all ingredients together.
  4. Garnish with a few coriander leaves and serve.

Enjoy as snack or light meal.
